Can I Let Go of Harold the Doll?

Hello,
I find the occult and mysticism very fascinating, but I am probably more skeptical than most as I’ve never had any major occurrences in my life related to hauntings, aliens, etc…
After reading through all of the replies in this thread (and holy crap there are quite a few), I would suppose what I typically suppose about such things: some people are more sensitive to psychic manifestations than others. Such events would “realistically” function in a different, more inaccessible dimension of reality from the ones which we naturally perceive.
Some people are very affected by the doll because they probably internalize it more, and are psychically aware; whereas, several others directly insult the doll (even on this thread) and nothing at all seems to happen. But I also find skeptics to be less psychically aware because they have essentially closed themselves off to the perception of it, much like closing one’s eyes in the midst of a well-lit room.
I have to say, what I find most interesting, is the effect the doll seems to have had on you. You, flat-out, refuse to part with it (even after being offered sizable sums of money) and it seems to have become a key aspect of your own life. I would point out that you have published a book on Harold and also allowed a syndicated TV series to investigate Harold. In many ways, you have likely contributed far more to Harold than the others in its past.
I guess the operative question now is: CAN YOU LET HAROLD GO???
I would be curious to see how you would plan to release the three souls “trapped” inside of it, and I’m especially curious as to the name of the demon mentioned in the Bible. I’m not quite sure I can fully understand these things, as I’m pretty far on the spectrum of reason, atheism, or to put it better, a more evolved form of agnosticism, but as I have stated, the occult is of special interest to me. Thanks for sharing, and it’s impressive to see so many responses from someone actually featured in one of my favorite YouTube Channels.
Best of luck to you Anthony and Harold…
Eric
Hi Eric, I want to thank you for your very intelligent comment. I honestly enjoyed reading it.
First of all, let me say that personally speaking, I’m more skeptical about claims of the paranormal than most, especially those of “haunted dolls.” I really am.
I allowed the doll to be on the Ghost Adventures television show because I was convinced that there was something “paranormal” going on with it and I was hoping to learn something from the GAC about what the source of it was. Previous to that, another team of paranormal investigators did a “preliminary investigation” on the doll a year before. When the lead investigator was reviewing the evidence something happened to him that caused him to end up in a hospital emergency room. Since then, they have refused to talk to me or come anywhere near the doll.
Interestingly, it was AFTER the doll’s initial appearance on Ghost Adventures that I began learning what I now know about the doll, and much of it was from someone who hasn’t seen the show. The most important thing that I’ve learned is that there is a demon involved and that demon is keeping 4 souls imprisoned in the doll. These ideas have been corroborated by several different people, none of whom know each other, or were even aware that what they were saying others were saying as well until after my book came out.
It’s the idea that three of the four souls can be released, the fourth spirit is the one who has called himself, “Harold,” in EVPs, that causes me to keep the doll. My mission is to find a way to release them.
How I learned all of this and why I believe it to be true is complicated and one of the reasons I wrote my book. The other reason is that I DID NOT believe in the existence of demons until all of this happened. The crazy thing is that the whole story has become even weirder AFTER I published my book.
I understand why people don’t believe what I’m saying about the doll and what has happened since I’ve owned it in 2004. To be honest, as I said, I’m skeptical about this sort of thing, to begin with, and even more so after going through what I’ve gone through. In fact, if I weren’t going through it personally, I doubt I’d believe it myself. But I’m not the only

Could this have been because of Harold the Doll?

I’m just curious about something, and if you think it’s a totally bad idea, just tell me—but I wonder if you would mind asking Harold if he knows who I am? I’m honestly just wondering because I don’t think there’s any way any of the spirits inside the doll would know me, but I’ve been having nightmares ever since I commented on your Vlog about him.

Before I answer you, I’d like to ask what kind of nightmares? Are you okay?

Well, they didn’t have Harold in them per se, but yesterday when I was taking an afternoon nap (taking advantage of my kid’s nap time lol). I thought I was waking up from it because I was in my room on my bed right where I’d fallen asleep, but for some reason I just could not move or speak, and while I was trying force myself to fully wake up, I could barely get my eyes to open, it felt like someone was sitting on my chest and smothering me. It triggered a panic response in me because I have been plagued by evil entities ever since I was a very young child.

Anthony’s note – My first thought when I read this was that it was a simple case of “sleep paralysis,” or “The Old Hag Phenomena.”

I started praying inside my head because I could not speak, and the oppressive feeling lightened enough for me to get off my bed and go check on my kids (who I suddenly felt worry over). My son was awake in his room crying, saying he’d seen a scary man, and my 2 year old daughter was also in tears.

I’m Jewish by religion, so I keep a prayer shawl with me at all times, and I remember vividly wrapping myself and them in it while praying aloud for deliverance at which point I promptly snapped awake, the whole nightmare ended and I realized with no small amount of shock that I’d been asleep, dreaming the whole time. I freaked out even more then, because it had been so very real and vivid!

My bedroom was ice cold. Not gonna lie, I’ve been kinda scared to fall asleep ever since.

To answer your question, as to whether being aware of “Harold” means it’s aware of you, my experience is that the answer is “yes.” The question I don’t have a good answer to is, “Why does it attack some people and not others?” The only answer I can come up with is that the entity or the demon seem to pick and choose. There is an intelligence to what’s going on.

I understand. And honestly, it’s not the first time I’ve experienced attacks but I can say without a doubt I’ve never experienced it on that level before. It just scared the day lights out of me! I feel maybe it was backlash for me calling the demons/spirits in Harold ugly and hateful. Not your fault, don’t be sorry! I’m a big girl lol, but it absolutely has been the first and most frightening thing that has happened to me in about 8 years now! I felt like it was playing on my most deeply rooted fears.

Harold the Doll is being “nice?”

I received a great question from “TheBrolyTV” on one of my vlogs. I wanted to share it with you, along with my response.

Wait, I don’t understand. It doesn’t like you sooo it’s playing nice? BTW huge fan!

What I’m dealing with is not just a “malevolent spirit,” but a Prince of Hell named in the Bible who was forced out of hiding during my investigation of the doll. I believe that pne who calls himself,”Harold” is the “front man,” doing what he was told to do so that hiss master could remain hidden. This is why I thought, for years, that the doll was simply “haunted.”

In the course of my investigation, I was led to believe that the spirit haunting the doll was cursed to remain in the doll and I would be able to, if I did enough research, find a way to release that spirit. I was trying to figure out how this could have happened and what to do about it when I discovered what is truly going on in it.

Since writing and publishing my book, things have quieted down considerably as far as the attacks on others go. I believe that this is to discredit me, and my book. That doesn’t mean the assaults have stopped completely. They haven’t. If anything, they have become more subtle. Especially on me.

However, I’m getting fewer reports of people who believe they’re being attacked simply because they looked at a picture of the doll, read my blog posts, watch my vlog, talk about the doll, express skepticism about it, etc.

That being said, my life continues to be a living hell.

Why hasn’t Harold the Doll attacked me?

Dear Harold,

I’ve heard reports of people having experiencing paranormal or strange possessions or horrible dreams after either reading about or watching your show. How come it affects only some but not others. I read all about and watch your blog on YouTube and seen the island of the dolls a few times but I’ve yet to see anything.

Now I’m a firm believer of paranormal But have yet to come face to face.

Nicholas

Hi Nicholas. This is Anthony. I’m the doll’s “caretaker.” I’ve had the doll since 2004, and your question is one I’ve asked myself for 11 years now. The best answer I can give is, “I don’t know why some people are attacked by, or experience the doll, and others don’t.”

Some people have been visited after speaking ill of it. Kathy, who’s eBay auction I won the doll in firmly believes that a friend of hers died after seeing the doll and laughing at it. Another friend of hers died from esophageal cancer after staying in a bedroom while the doll was in the closet. He was given a clean bill of health shortly before it happened.

Personally speaking, I’ve lost a friend, and a puppy in just the past few months (May and August of 2015) and I’m convinced that the entities in the doll had a hand in both their deaths. The thing is my friend had never seen the doll, and I’m not sure even knew about it.

Another friend of mine, Camille, has been attacked on several occasions and has shown the doll nothing but respect. She even bought the case the doll was carried in by Zak Bagans into the shack on the Island of the Doll’s episode of Ghost Adventures. She did that after I had the doll for 9 years in the same Duane Reade shopping bag I received it in.

One woman told me that the entity in the doll could, quote, “Kiss my ass. I have Jesus protecting me.” Apparently she did, because the entity went after her daughter.

I’ve heard from numerous people who became ill, or had a string of bad luck happen after simply looking at a picture of the doll. And then of course, there are those people who have mocked the doll, or watched videos, read my blog posts, etc., and nothing happens to them. And I’m convinced that there are those people who do provoke it, and something does happen, but they sure as hell aren’t going to admit it for fear of it happening again.

I have a couple of theories as to why. First of all, this is not a “spirit attached” doll. It’s not even “haunted” as such. I’m not saying that there isn’t anything going on with it, because there definitely is. I’ll just say this – one of the entities, the real owner of the doll, simply won’t fall for simple provocations.

I won’t share my other theory as to why it happens because I don’t want people “testing it,” and paying a price for doing so. It is, however, based on my interviews with people who have apparently been legitimately attacked by the doll.

There are “secrets” that were never meant to be learned, and I do believe that it’s one of the reasons that some people have been attacked and others haven’t. I share a few of those secrets in my new book, “Harold the Haunted Doll.”

Again, some people have read my book and have experienced “strange things,” including everyone who edited it, and other people haven’t experienced a thing.

I would say that the vast majority of people who have had something happen to them, including myself, would tell you that it’s not something that you would want happening to you.

Why do I keep Harold the Doll?

Good day Anthony. I have read excerpts of your book but I am afraid I won’t be able to read the full version due to having similar experiences with a doll when I was a younger version. I do wonder if you believe Harold has caused you to suffer a personal loss or losses and if so how did you reconcile keeping Harold with loss or losses you may have been forced to endure because of his malicious intent.

Thanks for the insight!

B

Hi B,

First of all, thank you for taking the time to write and ask. I also want to say that I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had similar experiences in your childhood. I wrote the disclaimer on the back cover not to scare you or anyone else from buying my book, but to discourage people who might trip and fall, or some such thing, while reading the book, see it as an opening to blame the doll and to try to sue me for not warning them.

Now to answer your question directly. I have suffered a great deal in terms of loss with regards to the doll, such as friendships, potential relationships, career prospects, etc., since I first acquired it back in 2004. I didn’t realize they had anything to do with the doll until December of 2014, when I was reflecting on the lost opportunities during that year, and I heard a female voice say, “Yes… I was responsible for all of that.”

At that moment, something else that happened earlier in 2014 made complete sense. My friend Donna called me. When I answered she told me, “Harold’s angry with you.” This surprised me because of how skeptical she is about the doll.

“How do you know that?” I asked her.

“When I thought about calling you, I heard a voice say, ‘Tell him I’m angry that he’s not doing enough to help me.'”

I had no idea what that meant, and neither did she.  The truth is though, I wasn’t doing a whole lot at the time because I didn’t know if I really believed anything I had been told about the doll up to that point.

When I heard the woman’s voice (whom I was to learn soon after goes by the name of “Lottie”), suddenly a lot of things started falling into place for me. For one thing, if some of the things had worked out for me, I would have been distracted and the doll would have been put on the back burner for another several years.

Since the time I’d heard that voice I’ve learned that there are 3 souls imprisoned within the doll (don’t ask, I don’t really understand it myself at this point). Understanding how this happened (which may never happen) and freeing those three is what drives me at this point. That’s why I still have the doll.

If I had it to do all over again, I tell myself I would have left well enough alone, but I’m sure that I was chosen to be the keep the doll (I don’t own it… it belongs to what the Bible refers to as a “Prince of Hell,” who is the one imprisoning four souls as I show in my book).

Writing this book was simply part of the plan I was handpicked to be a part of. The trials and difficulties I’ve had, and continue to have, getting it out there says to me that now, someone else altogether is now angry with me, and does not want it to be read in the first place.
