“I think we’re onto something….”

I cannot thank Tonja, and Simon, enough for the tireless research they are doing regarding the history of Harold the Doll.

For years now (since 2005), when it was first suggested to me that a soul was “trapped” inside the doll, I’ve wondered how this sort of thing was possible. Thanks to them, I may finally know the answer.

I’m afraid I may be frustrating both of them with not only my skepticism but my insistence that what they discover be double and triple checked. What they’ve learned is incredible. As Tonja put it, “I still think we are on to something, just not sure what yet.” I told her I couldn’t agree more.

I promise we’ll share what they’ve learned with you when what they’ve uncovered goes from “incredible,” to “credible.” To give you an idea, when they share things with me, my response is to post the picture below. 😉

Please remember them in your prayers, and ask God to keep them, and their families, safe.

Haunted Harold Blog – “Why couldn’t I remember the Lord’s Prayer?”

“Sean,”* who lives in the U.K., is helping me research the history of one of the souls, the one “manacled” in the picture below- the one who calls himself, “Harold.”

Harold cover photo

“Harold” was born and died in the U.K. with the exception of a brief period of time during which he lived in the U.S. I’ve asked others who live there to help me research his history and a couple of them agreed but stopped after experiences that frightened them into feeling that they were being warned to stop.

Sean wrote to me and shared unnerving incidents that happened to he and his wife recently. I’ve asked him to share his story on a video. He said that he would, but I told him to feel free to change his mind since doing so might lead to more repercussions than he and his family have already gone through.

With his permission, I’m sharing what he wrote to me should he decide not to record his story on video.

*Name has been changed.

Hey buddy, I want to tell you what happened last night. Roxanne* and I went to Manchester for the night to go to a concert. We left straight from my work and unfortunately Roxanne forgot to pack us a phone charger so ended up with no batteries lol. We had just left the arena where the concert was and we were walking back to the hotel. There was a homeless man in a shop doorway so I went and handed him a two-pound coin and wishing him well.

We had just left the arena where the concert was and we were walking back to the hotel. There was a homeless man in a shop doorway so I went and handed him a 2-pound coin and shook his hand wishing him well.

Just as I stepped away from him he said “Sean”. I don’t know this guy from Adam; never saw him in my life. I just looked at him and he looked straight at me. A second after this, a guy walked past laughing and he also said “Sean”.

I nearly went back to the homeless guy and asked why he said that but Roxanne seemed a bit frightened by it and said, “Just leave it”.

Straight away I thought it was almost like a message to me that even though I know of *******’s name, he and Abaddon are aware of my name. We put it behind us and went to a bar near the hotel for a nightcap before going to our room.

We put it behind us and went to a bar near the hotel for a nightcap before going to our room. I must have fallen asleep and Roxanne must have whilst watching TV as when I woke through the night it was on. I decided to turn it to the news channel so I could keep half an eye on the time in case we overslept, our phones were off so we couldn’t see what time it was otherwise. It was one of those windowless rooms too so we really had no idea as to what time of day it might be.

I lay down thinking about what the homeless guy and the man walking past said. I felt that I wanted to say the Lords prayer so I started to recite and got as far as “hallowed be thy name” before totally forgetting what comes next. I tried again but was unsuccessful. How the hell do you forget something like the Lords prayer? I’m not the most religious person in the world but I have always known the Lords prayer. We used to say it twice a day when I was at school. I tried again slightly worried there was something wrong with me.

As I was doing so the tv made crackling noise the way that sometimes a TV would do when they were analogue. I tried a fourth time and the crackling noise happened a further two times. I managed to recite it at the 5th attempt but not without a lot of concentration.

I felt a hell of a lot better after I managed to recite the prayer and got back to sleep for a few hours. I never heard the tv make any noises like that again.

I don’t know why any of this happened but my best guess is that something is trying to frighten me off from carrying out my research. It will not work if that’s the case. I don’t even care if anyone believes me anymore. I just wanted to share that with you, my friend.

I shared with Sean that something similar happened to me after I acquired the doll, but before I accepted the idea that there was a demon involved.

The doll is with me in Denver, Colorado.

Can I Let Go of Harold the Doll?

Hello,
I find the occult and mysticism very fascinating, but I am probably more skeptical than most as I’ve never had any major occurrences in my life related to hauntings, aliens, etc…
After reading through all of the replies in this thread (and holy crap there are quite a few), I would suppose what I typically suppose about such things: some people are more sensitive to psychic manifestations than others. Such events would “realistically” function in a different, more inaccessible dimension of reality from the ones which we naturally perceive.
Some people are very affected by the doll because they probably internalize it more, and are psychically aware; whereas, several others directly insult the doll (even on this thread) and nothing at all seems to happen. But I also find skeptics to be less psychically aware because they have essentially closed themselves off to the perception of it, much like closing one’s eyes in the midst of a well-lit room.
I have to say, what I find most interesting, is the effect the doll seems to have had on you. You, flat-out, refuse to part with it (even after being offered sizable sums of money) and it seems to have become a key aspect of your own life. I would point out that you have published a book on Harold and also allowed a syndicated TV series to investigate Harold. In many ways, you have likely contributed far more to Harold than the others in its past.
I guess the operative question now is: CAN YOU LET HAROLD GO???
I would be curious to see how you would plan to release the three souls “trapped” inside of it, and I’m especially curious as to the name of the demon mentioned in the Bible. I’m not quite sure I can fully understand these things, as I’m pretty far on the spectrum of reason, atheism, or to put it better, a more evolved form of agnosticism, but as I have stated, the occult is of special interest to me. Thanks for sharing, and it’s impressive to see so many responses from someone actually featured in one of my favorite YouTube Channels.
Best of luck to you Anthony and Harold…
Eric
Hi Eric, I want to thank you for your very intelligent comment. I honestly enjoyed reading it.
First of all, let me say that personally speaking, I’m more skeptical about claims of the paranormal than most, especially those of “haunted dolls.” I really am.
I allowed the doll to be on the Ghost Adventures television show because I was convinced that there was something “paranormal” going on with it and I was hoping to learn something from the GAC about what the source of it was. Previous to that, another team of paranormal investigators did a “preliminary investigation” on the doll a year before. When the lead investigator was reviewing the evidence something happened to him that caused him to end up in a hospital emergency room. Since then, they have refused to talk to me or come anywhere near the doll.
Interestingly, it was AFTER the doll’s initial appearance on Ghost Adventures that I began learning what I now know about the doll, and much of it was from someone who hasn’t seen the show. The most important thing that I’ve learned is that there is a demon involved and that demon is keeping 4 souls imprisoned in the doll. These ideas have been corroborated by several different people, none of whom know each other, or were even aware that what they were saying others were saying as well until after my book came out.
It’s the idea that three of the four souls can be released, the fourth spirit is the one who has called himself, “Harold,” in EVPs, that causes me to keep the doll. My mission is to find a way to release them.
How I learned all of this and why I believe it to be true is complicated and one of the reasons I wrote my book. The other reason is that I DID NOT believe in the existence of demons until all of this happened. The crazy thing is that the whole story has become even weirder AFTER I published my book.
I understand why people don’t believe what I’m saying about the doll and what has happened since I’ve owned it in 2004. To be honest, as I said, I’m skeptical about this sort of thing, to begin with, and even more so after going through what I’ve gone through. In fact, if I weren’t going through it personally, I doubt I’d believe it myself. But I’m not the only

“That’s Harold’s REAL name!”

Okay, I can’t say much, and I’ve asked Tonja not to say anything, except I’m going to ask her to confirm what I’m about to tell you “for the record.”

Based, not so much her drawings but her descriptions of the dolls she saw in her dream, I sent her three pictures of real people. She confirmed that she’s 99.9% certain the pictures resemble the dolls she saw.

We just talked on the phone and she asked me, “Is the name of the man in the picture you sent me named, “_____?”

I said yes, and asked how she knew. She said she was looking at it and the name came to her in her head.

I asked her if she’d ever seen the picture before. She said, “No.”

I wish I had a picture of my face. My adrenaline was flowing. “Tonja, that’s Harold’s REAL name.”

Here is her response –

“… without saying much of anything, yes I did talk with you a bit ago and yes the dolls I saw in my dream are exact replicas of the people you showed me, so much so I had to look again and staring at the one picture.

The name of the person did pop in my head or I would not have asked you if that was the name.”
